Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday welcomed legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses to Guwahati, announcing their performance on November 17, 2026. Sarma made the announcement on social media, stating he was “delighted to welcome the legendary Guns N’ Roses to Guwahati on November 17, 2026, bringing one of the world’s most iconic rock bands to Assam.”

The CM added: “Following the historic success of Post Malone’s concert, Assam’s rise as a global live entertainment destination continues to gather momentum.”

First-ever show in Northeast India

The Guwahati concert marks the first-ever performance by Guns N’ Roses in Northeast India. The show will be held at Khanapara Veterinary Ground in Guwahati.

The band previously performed in Bengaluru and Mumbai in 2012. They returned to India in May 2025 for a show in Mumbai, their first visit in over a decade.

Two-city India tour

Guns N’ Roses will perform in India across two cities this November. They play NICE Grounds in Bengaluru on November 14 before heading to Guwahati on November 17.

Both shows are produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live. The concerts form part of the Asia leg of the band’s ongoing world tour.

The tour also coincides with the release of two new singles, “Nothin'” and “Atlas”. These are the band’s first original recordings since 2023.

About the band

Guns N’ Roses were formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985. The band’s lineup for the India tour includes frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan.

During their 2025 Mumbai show, the band performed hits. It included “November Rain,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” and cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”
